General Terms and Conditions
1º The lessee undertakes to return the vehicle to the agreed place, Should the lessee wish to keep the Vehicle for a period longer than that originally set out in the rental agreement, the lessee are must first contact the company at least forty eight hours before original return time, otherwise an excess charge of 10% will be incurred for every late day. The unjustified taking of any part of the vehicle will be considered by the company as larceny, according to article 535 of the penal code.
2º Driving License: The lessee must be in possession of a valid full driving license which was issued at least 4 years before the date of the commencement of the rental, the lessee must be at least 24 years of age. If this is not the case a special agreement has to be entered between the company and lessee.
3º The vehicle must not be taken outside of Spain, without previous authorisation of the company and never for more days than those contracted.
4º The insurance will be rendered invalid if the vehicle is driven whilst under the influence of alcohol, drugs etc or if the insurance company rejects the claim, as a result of driving the vehicle in an unfit physical condition as stated in the highway code. Insurance excesses are as follows A & B & C = 300€, D & E = 350€, F & G = 450€, H=600€.
5º The insurance does not cover damage to the wheels and tires, neither does it cover vehicle breakdown due to an accident when the fault is of the lessee. The lessee will pay the tow service upon any breakdown or loss of vehicle key, these are not covered by the insurance and copies cost between 60 and 90 euros depending on the vehicle model.
6º The lessee promises not to transport more passengers than the vehicle is registered to carry, neither to transport animals or objects that may damage or stain the vehicle. The lessee also promises not to loan or subcontract the vehicle, nor give driving lessons, take part in races or other competitions with the vehicle.
7º The lessee is liable for all fees, taxes, fines and penalties incurred in connection with the use of the Vehicle and those for which the company is charged.
8º The lessee must inform the company of any damage or accident suffered by the vehicle at the time of incidence.
9º Damage, loss or theft of goods & personal possessions are not covered by the insurance.
10º The vehicle must never be abandoned.
11 º In case of drunkenness the company and insurance will not be liable.
